I call this a family date. Why? It’s a time we all had to jot down on the calendar and make it happen. The time we had to set aside from everything else and just be together!
We met in New Orleans at Morning Call to kick off our annual tradition of the park and Christmas lights. We kick it off with beignets…lots of sugar to get us going! Then it’s off to feed the ducks at the park then pile up in the cars…unbuckle our seat belts and ooh-and-ahh of the fun Christmas lights at the park! It’s always a ton of fun…we wrap the night up with going out to eat and flooding the restaurant with lots of energy and a mob of people all trying to find one table where we can all fit together! All the while six kiddos 5 1/2 and younger…so you can imagine… one needs to go to the potty, one really is thirsty and starving, another is content jumping up on the stool and watching the people, while we see another one under the table, then the baby is crying oh and the other is trying to climb on everything and reach for everything on the table they can’t have…all while the parents are trying to stay sane and all of the on-lookers are finding us very entertaining. Oh the fun of family time and the memories, admidst the laughs, stress, frustration and chaos!!!!
