This past Tuesday I hosted an editing and workflow workshop in Mandeville, LA. We started with our model shoot at Fairview State Park. Here the attendees reviewed and practiced shooting in manual mode and becoming more comfortable with the ins and outs of shooting. As I posed our model, I’d grab a few quick shots in the pose, then I’d let the other girls do the same.
We then found our way to the Abita Roasting Company coffee shop in Madisonville, LA. We grabbed some iced tea and iced coffee and went straight to work. I start by teaching how to properly save your images, set up catalogs in lightroom and then work straight through the modules in the lightroom editing program.
We spent the day editing and learning what all of the options are with presets along with lots of shortcuts and tricks to speed up their editing time!
Thanks to Sarah who snapped the last image for me. As I was showing our model some of the shots…and our model was b-e-a-m-i-n-g because she loved them…Sarah saw the moment and snapped a picture! Thank you Sarah-this is priceless to me!!!
