Spring Break Road Trip // Our Simple Life
Mississippi…Alabama…Tennessee…Kentucky…Ohio…then…Ohio…Kentucky…Tennessee…Georgia…Alabama…Mississippi
These are the states we hit going up then coming back!
For spring break we took a quick road trip for part of the week…we covered miles and miles of interstate…passing 18 wheeler after 18 wheeler and billboard after billboard! That’s what it seemed like anyway…I think we stayed in the car more than in any one spot on this trip. We knew that going into this trip though and were mentally prepped!
We explored many channels on pandora
We love crossing the state lines
Watching the gps on the phone counting down the miles by tenths!
Having moments of being productive and planning out a business plan
Dreaming of our next road trip before we are even rested and back home
Sitting for hours on end and making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches on the road
Visiting with friends and family…we basically had four nights in a row of bed and breakfasts only with friends and family!
We had many laughs about silly things
We loved being typical tourists and snapping pictures out of the car window as we drove 70+ miles an hour.
It was a fantastic road trip the first day took us to Cincinnati, Ohio…we enjoyed dinner and ice cream (at Graeter’s and my husband is a FAN of ice cream!!) with my sister in laws parents! The second day we spend the day in Kentucky at the Creation Museum…soaking in all of the information…then another 5 hours on the road that evening to my husbands sisters house…Sunday morning on Easter was spent with her at church and lunch…then…on the road again for another 5 hours to land at my aunt’s house in North Alabama…stayed there for two nights and headed home for another 7 hours on the road.
We had a blast…although we were wiped out…we are ready for our next road trip!
