Four amazing ladies along with their DSLR and laptops…well a little insert here *I love the fact that one didn’t have a laptop and was so set on coming she asked to bring her iMac*—my reply? INDEED yes you can!!!!! Ok back to my little writing…they all arrived at my house greeted by a few of my favorite things…Voss water, h.o.m.e.m.a.d.e. Chocolate Chip Cookies, a hand stamped notebook and name tag! Ok I know that’s not why they came but you do have to agree it makes it so much more fun?!?!?!
We hit the ground running and went straight to shooting a session with our amazing model! Everyone was able to ask me questions while shooting…but remember they were only allowed to shoot in manual mode at this photography workshop, I have it no other way! We spent about 45 minutes out shooting. We had a blast as our little model had planned a fun side of her outfit by changing into a “geeky nerd”. I don’t know who had more fun with it…her or us!!!!
We came back dropped our DSLR cameras and plunged into the workflow of Adobe Lightroom and learning about the different modules, organizing, what all of the sliders do, presets, editing…you name it and we covered it in Lightroom! It was so amazing seeing the attendees images from our shoot! They all rocked the shoot and their images looked fabulous! If you’ve been on my Facebook photography page recently you’ve seen a peak of this workshop!
A HUGE thank you to Blue Oliver for donating an awesome wooden scalloped frame to each attendee! These are amazing and you should go check them out and make your order! I’ve already placed an order to go along with the great 8×10 frame they gave me!
I have to say these ladies from South Louisiana and South Mississippi were amazing…I love when my clients/students become friends…it was like they had gotten a memo it was my birthday…when in reality it was NOT my birthday!!!! but between the frame, some amazing little goodies from a gift shop in Ponchatoula and another gift I was given–I will save that surprise because it gets it’s very own blog post…sorry it just does, I love love love it! I can’t say Thank you enough to you girls…you were amazing!
